Maintenance Engineer - bol site

As a Maintenance Engineer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the reliable performance of our advanced automated systems at the customer site bol in Waalwijk. Working as part of a dedicated on-site maintenance team, you will provide both reactive and proactive technical support, helping to maximize system availability and operational efficiency.

In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and continuously improving automation equipment while ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and service. You will collaborate closely with colleagues and customers, sharing technical expertise, supporting operational excellence, and contributing to the achievement of agreed performance targets. By combining strong problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset, you will help drive continuous improvement initiatives and ensure our automation solutions continue to deliver outstanding results for our customer bol.


WHAT YOU’LL BE HANDLING

  • You execute scheduled Preventive Maintenance tasks and support the automation to operate at its maximum efficiency
  • You ensure high levels of housekeeping and never compromise on safety
  • You complete all necessary reports, including those for shift maintenance tasks, spare parts usage, and toploss, while working in DART and CMMS software platforms
  • You continually improve the performance and reliability of equipment through toploss activities, design modifications, and continuous improvement initiatives for both TGW and third-party assets on site
  • You actively seek root cause when remedying breakdowns on TGW-supplied equipment and software, including electrical and mechanical fault finding and rectification
  • You resolve complex breakdown situations and ensure a professional and timely return to operation
  • You attend customer meetings, providing updates on the automation and supporting a positive customer relationship
  • You coach and mentor Apprentices and maintenance Technicians, sharing knowledge and supporting their development
  • You have a flexible attitude and willing to work in a 5-shift system 
  • 2 morning shifts: 06:00 - 14:00
  • 2 afternoon shifts: 14:00 - 22:00
  • 2 days off.
  • 2 days night shift: 22:00 - 06:00


WHAT YOU’LL NEED

  • You have at least a MBO-3 level Engineering diploma with general knowledge of mechanics, electrical and control
  • If your MBO-3 diploma is not electrical, you hold an Electrical Engineering qualification, minimum EQF Level 2 (MBO2), and are skilled in reading electrical drawings and fault finding
  • You have previous experience working in an operational engineering role within a similar environment, preferably within Intralogistics
  • You are customer focused and have the ability to build strong working relationships with colleagues and customers
  • You have good problem-solving skills and actively apply them in a fast-paced operational environment
  • You demonstrate a minimum of basic proficiency in the English language, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally in both written and spoken form
  • You have the ability to work in a time-critical environment and perform effectively under pressure
  • You have the ability to work at heights and follow all relevant safety requirements
