Sales Project Manager
At TGW, we're looking for a commercially driven and collaborative Sales Project Manager to lead the pursuit of high-value warehouse automation projects across the UK and Northern Europe. Combining the skills of a consultant, project manager and strategic sales professional, you'll work closely with customers to understand operational challenges, shape future requirements and develop tailored automation solutions.
Leading complex opportunities from qualification through to contract award, you'll coordinate multidisciplinary bid teams, build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and drive projects towards successful outcomes. Success in this role comes from understanding customer needs, influencing key decision-makers and delivering commercially successful solutions that create long-term value for both customers and TGW.
WHAT YOU’LL BE HANDLING
- Leading complex sales opportunities and tender processes from initial engagement through to contract award.
- Building trusted relationships with customers and key stakeholders at all levels.
- Acting as the central orchestrator of internal solution teams, aligning technical, commercial and operational functions throughout the sales lifecycle.
- Developing, shaping and presenting compelling warehouse automation and intralogistics solutions.
- Managing commercial proposals, project budgets and fixed-price offers.
- Supporting contract negotiations and driving commercial discussions to successful outcomes.
- Identifying, assessing and mitigating commercial, technical and contractual risks.
- Maintaining accurate sales forecasts, pipeline data and opportunity plans.
- Monitoring market trends, customer challenges and competitor activity to identify new business opportunities.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
We're looking for a relationship-driven, commercially astute professional with experience in warehouse automation, intralogistics, material handling systems, supply chain execution solutions, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), robotics, automation technology or consultative solution sales environments.
You'll be naturally curious, highly organised and skilled at building trust with customers and stakeholders. With experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder sales opportunities, you'll bring strong commercial acumen, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and the ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams without direct authority. A customer-focused and consultative approach, combined with strong emotional intelligence and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, will be key to your success.
