We are now seeking an experienced Strategic Buyer to join our Global Purchasing team and take responsibility for procurement activities for one of our key global customers. You will work closely with our sales and project teams to ensure suppliers, contracts, and materials are in place to support successful project delivery.
WHAT YOU’LL BE HANDLING
- Managing customer-specific suppliers to ensure capacity, quality, and performance
- Forecasting and planning supplier capacity in line with project timelines
- Negotiating framework agreements, project-specific contracts and partnership agreements
- Acting as the main procurement contact throughout the full project lifecycle, working as part of the core project team
- Developing suppliers, ensuring long-term capacity, supporting sustainability goals
- Optimising procurement processes and reporting against supply chain and cost-saving goals
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
- Previous experience in a strategic purchasing or buyer role within a project-based environment
- A degree in a technical or commercial field is preferred
- Ideally qualified CIPS or another recognised procurement qualification (or working towards it)
- A proactive, structured way of working with strong stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to work across functions and cultures with confidence and professionalism
- Fluent in English (Dutch or German language would be an advantage)
- Willingness to travel internationally up to 60% of the time
