Lead - Java Full Stack

We are looking for a Lead – Java Full Stack Software Development to join our Global Software Engineering and Technology Team in Pune, India. This is a hands-on technical leadership role that combines strong technical expertise with team mentoring and ownership of end-to-end software delivery for TGW's global warehouse automation solutions.

You will lead the design, development, and enhancement of software components within the TGW architecture while ensuring high code quality, scalability, and alignment with engineering standards. You will collaborate closely with Architects, Product Owners, QA, and global development teams, driving technical excellence and mentoring engineers

WHAT YOU’LL BE HANDLING

  • Lead the design, development, and maintenance of Java-based applications using Spring Boot and Microservices.
  • Design and develop scalable RESTful APIs and backend services.
  • Lead the development of responsive frontend applications using Angular (preferred) or React.
  • Mentor developers through code reviews, technical guidance, and best engineering practices.
  • Drive technical design, architecture discussions, and software quality initiatives.
  • Ensure clean, maintainable, and testable code with strong focus on performance and scalability.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, QA, Architects, and global teams throughout the SDLC.
  • Support CI/CD, deployment automation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

Required Skills

  • 8+ years of experience in Java and Spring Boot development.
  • Strong experience with Microservices, REST APIs, and distributed systems.
  • Hands-on experience with Angular (preferred) or React, along with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/TypeScript.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL databases; exposure to NoSQL databases is an advantage.
  • Excellent understanding of OOP, Design Patterns, SOLID Principles, Clean Code, and Unit Testing.
  • Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Experience working in Agile (Scrum/Kanban) environments.
  • Proven experience mentoring developers and leading technical initiatives.

Good to Have

  • Experience with Redis, RabbitMQ, or MQTT.
  • Exposure to Azure or AWS cloud platforms.
  • Experience in warehouse automation, industrial software, or material flow systems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Strong leadership, analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
