Lead - Software Engineer (Mechatronics)

The Lead .NET Developer is responsible for leading the design, development, modernization, and maintenance of enterprise software applications within TGW's engineering software ecosystem. This role combines hands-on software development with technical leadership, ensuring scalable, secure, and high-quality solutions while mentoring engineers and driving engineering best practices. The Lead .NET Developer collaborates closely with global cross-functional teams to deliver reliable software aligned with TGW's technology standards and business objectives.

WHAT YOU’LL BE HANDLING

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, testing, and maintenance of enterprise applications using the .NET platform.
  • Define technical architecture, coding standards, and software development best practices.
  • Mentor and guide software engineers through technical coaching, code reviews, and knowledge sharing.
  • Develop scalable and maintainable applications using .NET, ASP.NET Core, Web APIs, Entity Framework, and related technologies.
  • Design and implement RESTful APIs and microservices following modern architectural principles.
  • Drive software quality through code reviews, automated testing, and continuous integration practices.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, QA teams, and global stakeholders to deliver business requirements.
  • Support cloud adoption, containerization, and CI/CD implementation using Azure DevOps and modern deployment pipelines.
  • Participate in technical planning, estimation, risk identification, and release activities.
  • Ensure solutions adhere to security, performance, and maintainability standards.
  • Promote Agile engineering practices and contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

 Technical Skills

  • Strong expertise in .NET, ASP.NET Core, Web APIs, and Entity Framework.
  • Knowledge of OOP, SOLID Principles, Clean Code, and Design Patterns.
  • Experience with SQL Server/PostgreSQL, Git, Azure DevOps, and CI/CD.
  • Familiarity with Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, Microservices, and REST APIs.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
